Description
G9 Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. This recombinant protein was expressed and purified from E.coli. This Polymerase catalyzes the polymerization of nucleotides into duplex DNA in 5'- 3' direction in the presence of magnesium ions , has no detectable 3'— > 5' exonuclease (proofreading) activity and possesses low 5'— >3' exonuclease activity. In addition, G9 Taq DNA polymerase exhibits template independent single molecule deoxynucleotidyl transferase activity, which frequently results in the addition of extra adenines at the 3'-end of PCR products. Thus, the PCR amplified product using G9 Taq DNA Polymerase is ready for TA cloning. G9 Taq DNA Polymerase is the ideal tool for standard PCR of templates 6 kb or shorter.
